System Director - Physician Coding - Tenet Healthcare - Dallas

Job description
Tenet Healthcare, one of the largest investor owned healthcare systems in the United States, has newly created the role of Director, Physician Coding. The Director of Physician Coding will set standards for the Physician organization with specific goals of
managing the coming transition from ICD 9 to ICD 10
ensuring the application of transition of care coding standards
managing the application of Higher Categorical Coding (HCC) and its effect on Risk Adjustment Factors
The Director will partner with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) vendors and TPR practice operations to establish and align practices, procedures and metrics. The Director will also maintain an expert knowledge base regarding reimbursement regulations. This will include educating key TPR stakeholders, direct reports, and TPR coding resources of required implementation regarding reimbursement or regulatory changes.

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field
Current nationally recognized professional coding certification
Five years minimum management experience, system level experience preferred
