Job description
A well respected food manufacturer with nationwide recognition is currently in search of a Food Safety Director.

The selected candidate will take responsibility for the Food Safety program nationwide and will be officed at the Corporate Headquarters.

The Food Safety Director will be responsible for Quality Assurance, Sanitation, and Food Safety.

Required are:

1) A working understanding of Quality Assurance and Sanitation in a food manufacturing environment.

2)the capability to drive SQF, HAACP and Organic intiatives.

3)a working knowledge of food safety programs at an "Expert" level.

4)the capacity to be the face of the organization with the FDA.

5)a degreed Food Scientist

6) Experienced in a role of responsible with a Top-Tier food manufacturer known for Quality Assurance and Food Safety at the Gold level.

Desired Skills and Experience

Ability to manage multiple locations
An understand of food safety, quality assurance and sanitation in a food manufacturing plant
A comprehensive understanding of FDA expectations
Ability to work with associates at all levels of the organizational chart
Ability to maintain Quality initiatives while working productivitly with all other departments of the organization
Manage the recall and recovery process
Experience managing labs in the testing and reporting phases
