Director - Marketing Measurement & Analytics - Fidelity Investments - Providence
Job description
As part of the Personal Investing (PI) organization, the Customer Knowledge and Strategic Insight (CKSI) group sheds light on investor behavior and attitudes to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. We are currently recruiting for an analytical expert with deep expertise in one-to-one targeted marketing measurement and analysis to lead the optimization of Fidelity’s database driven marketing efforts.
Reporting to the VP, Marketing Effectiveness, the Director, Marketing Measurement & Analytics is responsible for evaluating targeted marketing program performance, driving valuable insights, and providing recommendations utilizing advanced testing techniques, statistical analysis, and other marketing analytic approaches to optimize multi-channel targeted marketing initiatives and identify opportunities for new programs.
Primary responsibilities
Lead the development of test strategy and measurement plans; ensure methodology is in alignment with problem complexity and business priority
Develop and implement analyses for improved targeting and promotional response
Understand business objectives and select the optimal analytical metrics to measure project outcomes
Act as subject matter expert in the implementation of new approaches, identifying the optimal blend of measurement and analytic techniques
Analyze and examine complex data to uncover hidden patterns and insights, unknown correlations for assigned database driven marketing programs in order to deliver key findings and solve business problems
Synthesize and deliver key findings for one-to-one targeted marketing programs to business leaders and assist with decision making and prioritization of initiatives based on those findings
Train other analysts on the team -- in U.S. and India – on various advanced statistical techniques to help deliver and execute against direct marketing measurement needs
Desired Skills and Experience
Education & Experience
Advanced degree required in statistics, economics or other quantitative field
8-10 years of experience in a marketing measurement & analytics role supporting Direct Mail, Email, or database-driven programs required
Experience with advanced analytic techniques, such as multivariate regression analysis, logistic regression, factor analysis, response prediction, and ROI measurement
Experience designing and analyzing A/B and Multivariate tests to measure performance
Experience with promotional, targeted, & marketing data
Experience working with Marketing teams
Skills & Knowledge
Advanced use of a SAS or other statistical programming language
Proficiency in SQL
Fluent in using Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, analysis and charting
Demonstrated ability to structure and conduct analyses to generate insight and recommendations
Data manipulation – used to analyzing large volumes of data and a solid understanding of database principles and efficiencies required. Experience working with a Greenplum or other big data platform a plus.
Project Planning – capable of planning and managing analytical components of projects to ensure deadlines are met
Excellent communications and presentation skills with an ability to interpret analytical and technical content in an easy-to-understand manner. Innovative and able to develop new analytical solutions to business problems
Excellent multi-tasking and problem solving skills along with ability to meet aggressive deadlines
Proven track record of working effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
