Directs activities of Adhesives (AG) North America/Latin America (NA/LAN) financial analysts and others on the financial team.
Leads the coordination of all monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting/forecasting activities for AG NA/LAN business units as well as providing similar support for the Global Industrial Assembly Steering Unit (IA SU). Ensures all budgets, forecasts, reports and data are accurate, complete, comprehensive and meet compliance requirements.
Provides internal analysis on business development and monitors business unit performance for both AG NA/LAN and IA SU. Influences the AG NA/LAN and IA SU business strategy by actively challenging assumptions, assessing the impact of changes in business direction and testing the financial validity of proposed actions.
Provides guidance to and collaborates with the AG NA/LAN sales organization during the design and development of sales incentive plans (SIP); ensures established SIP targets identify outcomes that support AG business objectives; communicates predetermined SIP targets and subsequent bonus/commission payouts in a clear, accurate and timely manner.
Identifies and implements process improvements in accounting/financial processes to continually improve accuracy, cost effectiveness, efficiency and problem resolution.
Ensures adequate internal control and reporting mechanisms are established for AG NA/LAN business process systems.
Performs economic research and studies, e.g. rates of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, and financial and expense comparisons to support AG NA/LAN and IA SU.
Qualifications

Experienced finance professional with 10-12 years of progressive experience.
Bachelor's degree required, MBA or CPA preferred.
Broad-based business professional with strategic insight to proven, in-depth experience in financial management. This individual will have specific experience as an actively contributing member of a management team. Experience in a complex, global, highly respected organization that is focused on talent and leadership development.
Sound technical background in corporate financial management and analysis and best practices. This person will have the vision, presence, cultural awareness and leadership to negotiate agreements in a positive manner among occasionally competing interests. The individual will have been successful in a global, multicultural, multilingual environment and have a record of success in providing effective, contemporary, practical advice and support.
Additionally, the Financial Commercial Director will have:
Strong analytical, managerial, leadership and interpersonal skills
Expert knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial analysis principles and methods. Complete understanding of all financial statements.
Ability to form and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization.
Strong problem solving skills and knowledge of contemporary analytical techniques.
PC literate with strong mastery of financial spreadsheets including Excel and Microsoft Office.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prepare and deliver presentations.
Strong business background coupled with the rigor of analytical thinking.
Superb relationship and leadership skills, enabling him/her to act as a role model, embracing change and taking the Finance organization to the next level.
