Responsible for product management, software development, operations and quality assurance. Translate business needs into workable technology solutions that scale both technically and operationally. Responsible for developing software applications and services in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. Maintain and raise engineering and operational standards by mentoring and reviewing the work of your team and recruiting top talent. Manage and optimize the overall software development lifecycle. Lead multiple engineering organizations, including staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining best-of-class engineering leaders across multiple teams and disciplines (engineering, QA, program management). Create of product plans, engineering roadmaps, and operational plans and the management of execution against project plans and delivery commitments within an Agile/Scrum environment. Collaborate with senior engineering managers and engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach, delivering value quickly to customers without sacrificing the long-term. Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to executive management and act quickly and decisively to resolve customer-impacting issues. Domestic and International Travel up to 20-25% of the year. **This position has up to 7 direct reports.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and eight years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept ten years of work experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Bachelor’s degree and eight years of experience. Four years of experience in the job offered or related occupation must involve: build and manage development teams that design and deliver large distributed systems; manage products, budgets and justifying resource needs to senior leaders and finance partners; experience with object-oriented design, waterfall and agile development methodologies. Domestic and International Travel up to 20-25% of the year. **This position has up to 7 direct reports.
