Senior Sales Operations and Product Manager - Global Sales - Amazon - Seattle

Amazon.com is looking for a talented Sales Operations / Product Management leader capable of leading the development of our Global Selling sales, onboarding and account management processes to enable Seller success WW. The ideal candidate brings rich industry experience, broad account management knowledge, strong process optimization background, solution oriented thinking, ability to work across geographically separated teams, a relentless focus on the customer and a passion for driving global solutions. In this role you will be responsible for building and leading the adoption of a common Global Selling framework and the discovery and development of product, process and policy improvements WW.

Background on Amazon Global Selling: The Marketplace or “Selling on Amazon” business exists in 10 countries and exceeds 40% of total Amazon sales and growing. Each year, tens of thousands of businesses join the marketplace adding millions of new products. Our vision is to offer customers Earth’s largest selection. The Global Selling Sales Operations leader will deliver on this vision by designing scalable processes and measure that are adopted WW.

Background on this role: Amazon’s vision is to offer the earth’s largest Product Selection and Lowest prices for our customers. One way we deliver on this vision is by recruiting and launching Seller’s globally, maximizing the quantity of items that they list while ensuring the highest quality of product images and information. We need a leader who can innovate on our sales and account management model; identify and implement improvements in our existing sales process; and construct programs and tools to drive improvements in Global Selling recruiting--with the ultimate goal of making all Sellers global Sellers.


The key strategic objectives for this role include:

Define, develop and implement strategies, tools and processes to enable Sellers to sell globally, seamlessly
Determine process, platform and policy changes to drive Global Seller success
Represent Global Selling Sales organization in driving cross department initiatives and solutions impacting international Sellers
During the first 12 months, the Global Selling Sales Operations / PM leader will:

1. Assess current Global Sales, Onboarding and Account Management processes and policies:
Understand existing sales and onboarding experience from both Seller and Associate point of view
Review current metrics / measures of success; understanding regional differences
Define both immediate and long-term opportunities for improvement
2. Propose Process, Product, Policy and Organizational Vision and Roadmap:
Develop roadmap for enabling Global Selling to be truly seamless for Sellers
Write periodic “6-pager Deep Dives” on both tactical and strategic initiatives for review with senior leadership
Participate in writing the annual business plan and long term (3 year) plan to guide the company’s initiatives for Global Selling Sales, Onboarding and Seller success
3. Lead improvements WW
Develop and drive the opportunity analysis and business requirements with key stakeholders / partner teams to gain support for needed tools and feature enhancements
Develop and lead implementation of process, policy and organizational changes
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience
Previous Sales and/or Account Management experience
Strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
Previous experience regarding process improvement and organizational design
Ability to think creatively, deal with ambiguity, and manage changing priorities
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Bias for action, and experience making things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferably a mix of business and technical experience including driving operations in an ecommerce business with emphasis on metrics
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or computer science or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience with a blend of Sales, technical, business and product and/or program management roles
Expertise developing and leading international solutions
