Sales Director - Fitch Solutions - New York


Job description
In this high-profile sales role, you will be part of a team based in London and New York that is responsible for leading the sales effort for Fitch Solutions’ Global Strategic Accounts team.

The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and maintain new relationships and grow existing accounts. You will be responsible for selling a suite of products and services within Fitch Solutions that includes:
· Research and ratings data services
· Data and services for credit derivatives and market-implied ratings
· Valuation, workflow and analytical tools for structured finance transactions and CDOs
· Fundamental financial data for financial institutions and corporations
· Pricing and valuations services
· Utilizing your extensive network of financial institution contacts at the Chief Risk Officer, Chief Financial Officer and credit officer level, you will be responsible for growing the Fitch Solutions business by influencing and negotiating effectively at this level.

Desired Skills and Experience
· In order to be successful in this role, it is essential you have at least five years’ fixed income and risk management sales/business development experience within banking and asset management.
· You will have a proven track record in developing new business and growing revenue streams.
· Multi-level selling skills and experience dealing across global financial institutions required.
· You must have an understanding of the rating agencies environment and risk management requirements in strategic decision making, risk identification, risk quantification / quantitative modelling processes.
· Strategic thinking should be a personal strength and you will have the ability to structure clear strategic business plans for your clients.
· Given the nature of this position, we are seeking an articulate, personable and energetic self-starter. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· You will have strong interpersonal skills and developing relationships should come naturally to you.
· You must be self-motivated and able to generate ideas and demonstrate initiative, tenacity and perseverance.
· Fluent English skills are essential, other languages are beneficial.
· You will have an Account Manager working with you to support your accounts, any supervisory experience will be advantageous
