Marketing Director - Customer Management - Gatorade G Force - PepsiCo - Chicago
Job description
The Director will be responsible for management, marketing and sales of the G Series portfolio at critical points of sweat. The position will lead the strategic development of brand building plans and manage a field team of over 40 market development associates.
The ideal candidate will have proven leadership and management skills; understanding of the high school & college landscape; deep understanding of competitive athlete consumer target and their sports nutrition influencers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Lead the strategy and development of long-term and annual brand plans & KPIs
Effectively articulate a compelling vision, purpose, and direction that inspires others to follow - recruitment, training, performance management and people development
Development of P&L, SG&A, A&M, Capital allocation and financial modeling
Development of marketing and sales communications to effectively educate influencers about product benefits that result in brand recommendations, usage & purchase
Creation of Execution Frameworks to include Pricing, ACV, Demand Planning, Merchandising, & key brand growth drivers
Lead and synthesize all channel feedback, insights, analytics and data for comprehensive business performance reviews
Leadership and strategic alignment across multiple distribution partners including but not limited to PBC, FBU and Athletic Team Dealers
Manage roll out strategy to include sizing and implementation while working closely with Brand, Experiential, and Insights to determine optimal cadence, location, and proper distribution targets based upon consumer and marketplace understanding/nuances
Act as brand lead and consumer expert to align strategies across functions including but not limited to Brand, Experiential, Finance, Supply Chain, Distribution, and Insights teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree required, advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years marketing, sales and/or management experience.
Prior knowledge and/or experience in functional products, athletics, education and sporting goods channels preferred.
Prior experience managing and developing a high performing team.
Superior general management skills and capabilities.
Ability to read and analyze financials, consumer research and trends.
Proven strategic go-to-market and forecast capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to develop and cultivate relationships, build consensus and influence business partners and customers.
Strong conceptual and strategic thinker.
Creative skills with the ability to problem solve, seek alternative solutions to job tasks and generate fresh ideas.
Strong interpersonal skills, including both tact and positioning.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
