Head - Investor Relations - Nimble Storage - San Jose
Job description
Nimble Storage is the fastest-growing storage array company in history. We are currently looking for a Head of Investor Relations to join our growing Investor Relations team.
The Head of Investor Relations will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer located at our corporate headquarters in San Jose, CA. You will work within the CFO’s team focused on Investor Relations operations and communications. As the Company’s first IR hire, you will have the exciting challenge of building and leading a world class IR function from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for the investment community and voice for shareholders of the Company. This role manages both the buy side and sell side aspects of the investment community
Help develop and execute an investor relations strategy, including assistance with meetings to provide analysts and investors with realistic expectations of the Company's performance, while at the same time protecting confidential company information
Monitor changes and trends in investment markets and determine appropriate strategy
Assist in providing proactive, timely and consistent communications with analysts and investors through telephone and personal contact, meetings and written materials. Proactively identify and address areas of interest and concern with analysts
Assist in analysis of competitor companies
Assist Nimble’s sales force with questions related to the Company's ratings and financial strength
Independently meet and take calls with investment institutions and support executive management with their investor communications
Organize company analyst days and participation in investor conferences and non-deal roadshows
Recommend improvements for and lead the process for earnings calls. Gather, analyze and internally communicate analyst reports and estimates as well as equity market, industry and competitive information
Oversee Investor Relations section of the Company’s website
Prepare reports on IR activity for the Company’s Board of Directors and executive team
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
10+ years of investor relations experience with publicly traded company, with a track record of developing and implementing best practices investor relations program, including messaging strategy, investor targeting and communication practices
Excellent relationships with buy side and sell side firms on Wall Street
Experience in the Enterprise sector strongly preferred (storage, networking, software etc.)
Demonstrated consistent level of high performance in current role
Solid understanding of the financial markets
Strong financial analysis skills
Excellent ability to interpret or correlate a wide variety of financial information
Excellent written communication skills, from PowerPoint to press releases to research pieces
Excellent verbal communication skills, including ability to field challenging questions, speak persuasively and publicly and effectively articulate the company’s business, financial matters, and strategic objectives
Internally motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas, and develop new skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under time pressures
Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration
Travel required
