Global Director - Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis - A. W. Chesterton Company - Boston

Job description
Couple your business acumen and technical financial knowledge to help increase our global footprint. As Chesterton’s Global Director of Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis you’ll partner with and influence senior management to continually support the analysis of company direction including strategy and productivity programs. Position is responsible for both the Strategic Analysis team and the Financial Systems team, reporting directly to the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Represent the financial group by collaborating with IT to centralize financial reporting into a more streamlined universal software application. Provide ongoing end user support to consolidate existing software and install new. Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and managed along with all financial policies and procedures.

Prior experience anticipating, coordinating, and strategizing on all financial matters surrounding strategic and growth initiative (including mergers and acquisitions) is essential to ensure Chesterton’s successful global sales and operational growth. Prior experience directing financial aspects of a global ERP system is required.

Supervise and work closely with your financial planning and analysis team by encouraging talent development via mentoring and ongoing training opportunities.

Strong consensus building skills to work effectively with management as a business partner
Excellent management skills which include strategic and tactical abilities
Strong computer skills, advanced Excel knowledge, and prior usage of various financial reporting and payroll systems
B.A in Finance
MBA is required
10+ years of financial experience interacting with cross functional groups
