Director - Product Procurement - ROVIA - Dallas


Job description
The Director of Product Procurement will be responsible for the global procurement and commercial positioning of all Rovia and affiliate branded travel product through Rovia’s various distribution channels; (negotiated FIT, Group, GDS hotel content, Car hire, negotiated air, activities) suitable for both closed-ended distribution and consumer direct consumption.
Source, recruit, train and mentor an international team to oversee the procurement, negotiation and maintenance of the company’s negotiated travel product and services and commercial success.
Lead procurement team to ensure minimum coverage of geographical, demographical and consumer appealing content worldwide in conjunction with provided minimum levels and criteria.
Create, monitor, and track aggressive commercial positioning in terms of defined commercially focused KPI’s (revenue, margin, conversion) as directed by the VP of Operations.
Create and manage a comprehensive P&L and 3 year plan, providing structured visibility and ROI performance.
In relation to company market penetration and growth, source and manage a strategic team to manage product placement, commercial terms and revenue/marketing opportunities through the company’s consumer direct distribution.
Director of Product Procurement will be responsible for department deliverables in accordance with budget, as well as present to Executives and/or senior members periodically as required.
Work in close conjunction with the appropriate company departments to ensure that negotiated product falls in line with market and company visibility and forecasting requirements.
Any additional tasks / projects as assigned by the VP of Operations and Product.

Desired Skills and Experience
5 years or greater of direct travel or travel marketing experience required.
Strong Knowledge of OTA and Hotel distribution, travel ecommerce and group travel required.
High level knowledge of hotel or related revenue management experience highly advantageous.
Airline contracting experience highly advantageous.
Effective leadership and proven managerial success is a requirement.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook required.
Availability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 33% of schedule or as required.
BA /BS or equivalent work experience
5+ years of related work experience in a related field desired.
