Director - Product Management - OpenGov - San Francisco

Job description
The Role:
OpenGov is looking for its first dedicated Product Manager. You will work on the existing data visualization product, but focus most on new product ideas and an extensive product roadmap centered on business intelligence tools.

You will jump in and manage feedback aggregation, prioritize shifting deadlines across multiple products, and lead the team through the vets and specs of new projects. You will make sure that everyone is on board and that the product is worth building before the team forges full-speed ahead. You will own the product roadmap and manage products from concept to completion. In time and results, you can help to build out the PM team.

Desired Skills and Experience
Our Ideal Candidate:
* Has 5+ years of experience as a product manager of web based software products.
* Has experience gathering ideas and creating a collaborative environment with all stakeholders so that everyone understands the product vision and roadmap.
* Has recent experience participating in the full cycle of product development from concepting and wireframing to the building.
* Will work closely with the dev team so you need to understand technical systems and architecture enough to communicate, work, and plan effectively with the team.

Bonus Points for:
* Leadership experience overseeing other project managers at a director or manager level
* Startup experience
* Analytics and data visualization experience
* CS or STEM degree, an MBA, or a finance or analyst background
