CVP - Marketing Strategy - New York Life Insurance - Tampa


Job description

Oversees the development and execution of all
Insert and Fulfillment programs that support sales and marketing objectives for
New York Life’s direct marketing organization. Responsible for achieving
specific sales objectives for both life insurance and annuity business lines
through marketing campaigns that target current and prospective customers.
Responsible for strategy development and execution, forecasting and attainment
of sales objectives along with all related issues that have an effect on sales
production within assigned channels.
Oversees and directs the development of
strategies and media plans to leverage the available marketing spend across
managed channels. Responsible for developing and executing innovative strategies
for acquiring new customers that contribute to a positive customer experience,
while maximizing sales results.
Directs and actively contributes in the
development of the multiple sales and forecasting models to support the annual
and periodic planning process.
Work collaborately with internal NYL
resources to achieve goals. Within Marketing, work closely with creative and
production staffs to meet deadlines. Communicate vision and strategies and
monitor key performance touch points in NYL departments such as call center, new
business data entry, fulfillment, mail room, and research.
Manage the
relationships with key external stakeholders such as AARP, list brokers, media
outlets, agencies, and Call Centers to ensure deadlines, compliance
expectations, and operational standards are met.
Participate in the full
administration of the marketing channels. Produce analysis and reporting for
department review. Manage direct reports using NYL Performance Management tools.
Assist with the tactical execution of campaigns, including source code set-up,
data and workflow development, call center training, and Systems
requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics,
Communications, or related field is preferred. Must have strong analytical and
communications skills. Knowledge of Microsoft application suite and analytical
tools is mandatory.
10+ years of direct response marketing experience,
primarily in the print, fulfillment and insert space. Must be detail oriented,
with strong organizational skills and close attention to deadlines. Possess
strong interpersonal communication with an ability to communicate marketing
strategies and items of primary importance. Must have extensive experience in
managing budgets and forecasting sales.
