Director - Product Development & Global Distribution - Ingram Content - Nashville

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is currently recruiting for a Director, Product Development & Global Distribution to join our team in our LaVergne (Nashville), TN headquarters. This Director will be responsible for leading print on demand product development and the expansion of print on demand distribution through Ingram’s global distribution platforms and commercial relationships. We are seeking an individual to identify new product development opportunities and work collaboratively with content acquisition sales, operations, finance, and marketing to develop new product priorities to include, establishing product specifications, implementing and bringing on line new products and features, and establishing new client offerings for our Print on Demand business.
Essential Job Duties:
Leads client relationships with our current Global Connect distribution partners in Germany, Brazil, Russia and the Netherlands.
Acts as business development liaison and lead pipeline sales person for prospective Global Connect relationships (Poland, Argentina, Mexico and other geographies)
Manages business development for consulting and other POD and technology distribution options in emerging markets, such as China and India.
Coordinates the Business development plan for ICG Australian business and Hachette Livre JV in France.
Develops business plans for new markets and determines and recommends the best business solution to include; Ingram wholly owned facilities, commercial agreements with other POD distributors, and licensing or other commercial arrangements.
Manages cross functional teams in business development processes and projects
Attends three global trade shows (New York, Frankfurt, London) and multiple international site visits
Directs the new product and feature business development and prioritization process for print on demand products.
Understands next generation product requirements for POD from both the technological and publisher perspective.
Directs annual product strategy review.
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum Education and Experience required:
Bachelor’s degree
8 years international commercial experience in either sales or business development.
7 years experience with publishing and/or global media distribution company.
Preferred Experience:
Masters in Business Administration
Proven ability to lead complex business solutions and consulting agreements
Proven experience bringing a product to market
Knowledge of complex workflow solutions and required IT in a variety of POD / Distribution models.
Fluency in one or more languages in additional to English a plus
Ability to travel between 20-30% of the time
