Director - Marketing - Applico - New York


Job description
The Director of Marketing will lead the development and execution of a consistent message and voice of Applico, find change agents who want to effect, true Connected Revolution change and empower them to do so, create awareness of Applico and it’s people, culture and client offerings. help define applico as the thought leader in the connected devices space.

Role

Manage a team of marketing professionals including strategizing and prioritizing weekly and daily tasks associated with the full spectrum of marketing initiatives, including but not limited to, Email Marketing Campaigns, Webinars, Corporate Website, Mobile Industry Events, Research and collateral, executive speaking opportunities and media appearances, and publication opportunities.
Manage quarterly and yearly strategic planning for marketing, including development of goals and budget
Champion lead generation and nurture programs to support business development and implement closed-loop reporting system
Evaluate and report the effectiveness of marketing programs, and help formulate the strategy to maximize leads, ROI, and effecting change in client organizations
Manage relationships with SEO/SEM vendors
Drive website traffic and database growth including strategies for landing page optimization, targeted link building, new keyword targeting, increased and improved content and social media engagement
Develop reports on key metrics and project status
Lead and manage social media initiatives on sites including Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and LinkedIn
Conduct market research into the newest digital and mobile trends including industry specific trends relating to mobile
Manage relationships with public relation vendors
Prepare marketing collateral and research
Manage messaging and branding of the company both internally to employees and externally to potential clients and employees
Develop and execute a long-term marketing plan that will position Applico as a thought leader on platform innovation
Be the first point of contact for the media – own the relationships and be the go-to person for reporters interested in platform innovation
Create and execute marketing strategy for seminars, events, and speaking engagements
Create and maintain an in-depth central information file for media and other key influencers

Desired Skills and Experience
Skills / Experience
Minimum 6 years of experience in marketing or corporate communications, with the network to show for it
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
Hands-on experience in B2B and digital marketing, mobile preferred
Strong knowledge of SEO and SEM
Strong knowledge of Google Analytics
Hands on experience with email marketing, direct response programs and marketing automation best practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience with marketing automation / CRM software – Saleforce, Marketo, Oracle
Excellent marketing, planning, and analytical skills to effectively track initiatives and optimize efficiency
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Writing samples are required as part of the application process.
Ability to effectively communicate between all levels of the organization
