Director - Platform Product Management - RingCentral - San Mateo

RingCentral, Inc. is a leading cloud business communications provider. We are looking for a senior product manager to lead our developer-facing platform. You will be charged both with being the steward of and driving the adoption of RingCentral’s bleeding-edge communication platform. You will be responsible for productizing our Cloud technology into a fully versatile, extensible, and secure communication platform for any productivity and business applications. You will also play the role of a platform evangelist, which means you live and understand the needs of developers and entrepreneurs.

Responsibilities:
Shepard RingCentral’s development platform into maturity
Develop and execute platform product strategy, with a keen focus on serving the extensibility needs of current and future customers
Work with cross-functional team on go-to-market strategy and communication on releases.
Identify and assess new opportunities in the Cloud communication ecosystem
Conduct customer interviews, follow-me-home, and other studies to understand customer behavior and needs.
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications & Skills:
4-7 years of platform product management experience in relevant markets
Experiencing bringing successful platform components to market
Demonstrated success in evangelizing platform capabilities to different development players and ecosystems
Software development background, especially in Cloud applications
Track record of taking products to market and managing the product life cycle from cradle to grave.
Talent for taking input from various stakeholders and distilling actionable plans.
