Director - PMO - XLA - Fort Worth


Job description
Be the corporate PMO expert resource for program/portfolio program management, and will be responsible for developing, continuously improving and managing enterprise PM processes and the enterprise PM toolset.
Will lead the PM training and development work stream, and will be responsible for program-managing schedule and budget of multiple DI corporate internal projects within the Ops PM organization.
Will be expected to design and deliver training (with other PM/Ops teammates) to DI PM personnel in all PM-related skills and disciplines.
With direction from VP Program Management, will execute program benchmarking and base-lining, conduct program health assessments and play a shared leadership role in strategic Operations activities like EBIT lift and IOP activities.
Will also lead (with other PM/Ops teammates) in conducting training and assistance on-site support in a “hands-on/roll-up-your-sleeves” mode for red programs or for strategic bids and program start-ups.
Directs subordinate Program/Project Managers to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations including cost, quality and schedules while maintaining company profit motives
Ensures program is in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.
Responsible for acquiring follow-on business associated with areas of responsibility
Supports new business development by leading major proposals personally or through subordinate Program/Project Managers.

Desired Skills and Experience
Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
Extensive knowledge of Department of Defense, United States government structure and agency procedures and policies for identifying and developing potential business opportunities.
Knowledge of various computer skills desirable (ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Candidate must be able to qualify for a secret security clearance.
A PMP certification (or DOD DAWIA certification), a demonstrated track record of success in P&L assignments and in leading enterprise-level PMO functional excellence and experience in service delivery programs is highly preferred
Typically twelve (12) plus years in related technical environment.
At least five (5) years related management experience required. Manager is looking for a PMO (Program/Project Manager) with a demonstrated track record of success in P&L (Profit and Loss) assignments.
Also, P&L credentials are important, but the manager is also seeking a candidate that has developed and led (or been a significant part of) an internal functional PMO organization (sometimes known as a PM Center Of Excellence, but most often “PMO”).
Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline. Master’s degree preferred
Two (2) years experience in related field can be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.
