Director - Learning and Development - GoDaddy - Silicon Valley

Job description
As Director of Learning and Development at GoDaddy, you will drive our global learning and development strategy and delivery for our leaders, managers and our high potential employees aligned with our vision, mission and cultural transformation. End to end ownership will include, needs assessment through partnering with our awesome leadership team, learning solutions design, program delivery and project management. The position reports to the VP of Talent Management.

The position will require 25% travel and can be based in one of our Arizona locations, our Silicon Valley office in California or our Kirkland office outside of Seattle, WA.

In this role, you will:

Help us build our team, contributing to GoDaddy’s overall learning strategy and priorities. We will foster a learning environment throughout our distributed, global workforce. It will be key to leverage technology and create innovative learning solutions to help GoDaddy shift the global economy toward small business. You will partner with business leaders to develop tailored programs that help GoDaddy managers and leaders build capability and scale with our quickly growing business. This leader will partner closely with GoDaddy leaders, HRBPs and other members of the Learning and Development and Employee Engagement teams to translate the key learning priorities into effective learning solutions. We will also look to you to propose use of external solutions versus something we can build and roll-out internally or a blended approach based on the problems we’re trying to solve.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum 8-10 years of working experience in learning and development

Proven and practical experience designing and delivering customized learning and development experiences, with a focus on management and leadership development

Bachelor degree and above

Strong ownership and proactive nature, ability to drive and deliver

Excellent facilitation skills and strong program design capability

Strong program and project management capability

Learning orientation; keen to learn and continue to improve on the job

Fluent oral and written English; great communicator

Preferred qualifications

MBA or Masters, focus on learning and development a plus

Strong analytical skills – the ability to demonstrate impact and create effective solutions for different audiences and needs

Ability to influence globally, enlist and inspire leaders, managers and employees in other teams to be part of cross-org projects and initiatives

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with drive, energy and a passion for development of people and the business

History of strong partnering and collaboration across teams and organizational boundaries, can get things done in a matrixed environment

Demonstrated ability to move quickly in a dynamic environment; meeting targets set by the executive team

Knowledge of best in class industry offerings, understanding when to leverage external offerings, build something internally or use a blended approach

Experience selecting, implementing, and using an e-learning platform
