Director - Digital and Social Marketing - Quaker - PepsiCo - Chicago

Quaker is looking for a passionate, driven individual who has a strong pulse on the digital and social landscape to join the Quaker Masterbrand Consumer Engagement Team as Director, Digital and Social Marketing.
The Quaker Director of Digital and Social Marketing will play a key leadership role in setting our Digital and Social long-term vision and in developing and executing key online strategies that leverage all relevant digital and social assets as well as paid and owned Quaker channels to: 1) drive Quaker's business objectives and vision, 2) continue to support and grow Quaker's social footprint, and 3) ensure strong integration with and across Quaker's marketing campaigns. The strategies will be designed to effectively communicate to Quaker's core consumer target audience.
The digital and social leader will report to the Senior Director, Masterbrand Consumer Engagement, and work closely with Brand Communications and In-Store Activation leads, Business Unit leads, Shopper Marketing leads, Legal, and other business partners in order to execute effectively.
Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for managing, coaching and growing 2 direct reports as well as building relationships with and defining scope of work with our 4 key digital and media agencies. Lastly this position will be accountable for managing a digital/social budget as part of the overall Department A&M Budget.

Key Accountabilities:

Drive and land the Quaker Digital and Social vision and agenda and align the Quaker Leadership Team behind it.
Develop and execute specific digital and social integrated marketing campaigns that build the Quaker business, drive consumer engagement and loyalty.
Lead development and execution of social strategies that grow and support our owned social platforms (Website, Facebook, Twitter, Vine, etc) to drive reach and deep consumer engagement.
Responsible for evaluating, assessing and recommending the all-up digital and social media strategy in partnership with the Director, Marketing and Brand Communications, and ensuring creative deliverables are met and aligned with the overall campaign media plans.
Determine and responsible for the Digital and Social budget allocation to maximize working/non-working efficiency to 80/20 ratio.
In charge of A&M, Digital and Social media and campaign performance score-carding, and reporting learnings to the Chief Marketing Officer.
Accountable for the Digital and Social agency engagement process: defining and aligning objectives and deliverables, negotiating fees, awarding business, executing contracts, and assessing results; own agency 360 evaluations, linking compensation to results against objectives.
Act as the Quaker digital and social consultant across the Quaker marketing department, providing guidance and best practice sharing to build capability and enable business growth.
Manage, lead and coach a team of 2: setting the team mission, yearly commitments across each team member and driving and owning the year end evaluation process.

Qualifications:
Must have 8+ years' experience in Marketing and / or Communications; preferably both.
BA required, MBA preferred
Minimum 3 years social and digital strategy setting, including diverse social and digital channel experience. And, proven knowledge of cutting edge digital and social technology platforms.
Must have knowledge of, experience in, and track record of success with winning digital/web, social and mobile initiatives.
Proven record of strong people management and, in particular, ability to influence others to deliver key initiatives.
Proven results working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Experience managing and leading a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and multi-task.
Ability to quickly ramp up, evaluate a situation, form an action plan and rally the team.
Must be willing and able to travel up to 15% of the time.
