Business Development Director - Elliptic Labs - San Francisco


Job description
The Business Development Director will serve an important role managing existing and potential partners & customers for the deployment of Elliptic Labs technology. The individual will identify, evaluate and recommend partners & customers -analyze, model and structure deal parameters and terms. The individual will work with members of the product development and engineering and legal teams to track key tasks, work product and partner objectives to manage the deal process to align roadmaps and launch strategies.
The individual must have excellent business negotiation, writing, presentation and modeling skills, working easily in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word and SalesForce—and have great enthusiasm for new technology.

Primary Duties:
• Identify, evaluate recommend prospective partners and customers for business development opportunities.
• Analyze, model and structure the most suitable deal structure for each partner and customer. Manage the sales process from qualification through closing.

• Develop detailed financial projections for each partnership with sensitivities for key variables.
• Understand business and technical aspects of competitive products and create deal structures to surpass them.
• Develop strategic presentations for partners and key stakeholders in the ecosystem including OEM customers, component partners and partner technologies.
• Help negotiate license, evaluation, nondisclosure and development agreements.
• Coordinate business development efforts with engineering and legal teams, obtaining assistance while managing internal resources efficiently.
• Project manage and track communications with and deliverables to partners.
• Manage inquiries and respond to requests from prospective partners.
• Track the performance of each partnership against key targets, manage and build existing partnerships over time.

Desired Skills and Experience
7-10+ years management experience in business development, consulting, strategic planning with experience in software technology working at or with OEMs

• Independently drive and close deals in a highly complex environment.
• Ability to manage and track multiple discussions with and deliverables to large prospective partners and customers, working across organizational functions from engineering, marketing and executive levels. Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar sales/CRM tools for account management.
• Experience working with OEM manufacturers, structuring licensing/integration deals is a plus .
• Strong technology expertise.
• Strategic thinking and keen negotiating skills.
• Strong market and business modeling analysis skills
• Excellent presentation skills (PowerPoint, Excel).
• Clear writing style and strong communication skills.
• Passion for new technology.
• Collaborative team spirit and approach.
• Efficient and disciplined self-starter work habits.
• Mandarin, Japanese, Korean language a plus
•Travel 30% to include customer & partner visits
