Job description
Mosaica Education, Inc., a leader in global education reform, is in search of a dynamic Head of School (Principal) for one of our premier schools of choice – Frazier Preparatory Academy, Chicago, IL. The Head of School serves as the instructional leader for the school while supporting and guiding every aspect of the school’s successful operations and commitment to student achievement through the implementation of the Mosaica Educational Model and Paragon Curriculum.
Our Heads of School are committed to the belief that every child, in every community, deserves the opportunity for quality education and have the ability to create and lead an environment of academic excellence that achieves this mission. They provide strategic leadership and professional development to instructional staff, ensuring excellence in teaching and student learning. The Head of School will leverage extended learning time (typically an extended school day and/or year) , allowing instructional staff to provide significantly more time-on-task for students to master content and improve skills.
The Head of School will be responsible for the successful execution of Mosaica’s proprietary Paragon© curriculum and integrate it throughout the school ethos as a means to develop individual character and foster each child’s academic success.

The Head of School for Frazier Preparatory Academy will:
Articulate a clear vision of the goals, objectives and commitment of the school to all stakeholders and effectively communicate them to parents, students, faculty, the board, Mosaica Education and the community
Recruit, develop and retain teachers and other staff members committed to the fidelity of the Mosaica Education Model and individualized student achievement, setting high expectations and evaluating all school faculty on these criteria
Provide excellence in instructional and learning leadership that focuses on the four basic elements of: curriculum, instruction, performance and evaluation
Annually evaluate certificated and non-certificated staff members using approved staff evaluation resources
Share responsibility for the development and implementation of the school’s strategic plan to insure that educational goals, assessment standards and benchmarks are met according to the charter agreement
Implement the approved academic program to ensure 1.25 annual growth in reading and mathematics
Oversee and develop initiatives to increase student enrollment, create meaningful parent engagement/involvement and generate public support for the school’s program and education in general
Develop and implement a school budget designed to maximize resources, serve as a good steward of the financial resources entrusted to the school
Provide effective staff and professional development programs that are tied to student learning and match school goals to model continuous professional growth and improved student and teacher performance
Effectively utilize multiple sources of data collection and analysis to assess student performance and to plan instruction
Insure compliance with required reporting, all state and regulatory requirements for the maintenance of administrative records and school laws, including the implications on the educational program and on liability
Keep abreast of developments in compliance requirements, federal/state/local laws and best practices to maintain a school environment of the highest integrity
Provide opportunities to increase parent and guardian involvement in classrooms at the school level
The Head of School will be accountable to both Mosaica Leadership and the Frazier Preparatory Academy school board
