VP - Practice Management - Family Office Services - Fidelity Investments - Boston


Job description

Fidelity Family Office Services (FFOS) was established in 2004 to serve the sophisticated needs of family offices. The firm provides custody, brokerage and investment services in addition to reporting and administrative capabilities. As a dedicated business unit, FFOS provides objective guidance and access to investment products as well as a seasoned service team to support the needs of family office executives.The Vice President of Insights and Connections will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the Family Office Insights and Connections program. This individual will leverage their in depth family office expertise to consult with key clients and prospects, speak at industry events, educate the FFOS organization in key areas, expand Insights and Connections website and industry experts database, and build out the FORGE (Family Office Regional Group Executive ) program.

Primary Responsibilities:

Continue to refine and implement the FFOS Practice Management strategy, a key differentiator of our offering
Identify and vet service providers to the family office industry in order to provide Expand the Insights and Connections online offering – including additional content, webinar replays, calendar of events etc.
Point of contact for all industry associations (FOX, IPI, FOA, etc.) and channel their offerins to our clients
Manage the industry survey of family offices - publish to our associates and provide speaking points around the output
Drive continued education of our associates by providing key insights on industry trends, benchmarks and best practices studies
Personally consult with key clients and prospects on all relevant family office issues including regulatory concerns, operational best practices, educating the next generation, outsourcing opportunities and benchmarking
Create and distribute thought leadership through written white papers and webinars
Organize and lead regional roundtable discussions focused on key industry topics
Serve as speaker at industry conferences
Continue to build out offering for a peer networking program named Family Office Regional Group Executives that connects and provides resources to heads of regional family office organizations

Desired Skills and Experience
Education and Experience

10+ years of experience in consulting, sales, relationship management, or other client roles in the Family Office industry
MBA preferred and/or a clear understanding of business fundamentals required
Expert in all things that concern executives of family offices: governance, structure, staffing, security, succession, etc.
Series 7 required, 24 preferred
Experience managing third-party vendors is preferred

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
