Position: Business Development Director, Yahoo Strategic Partnerships

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Responsibilities:

As the Business Development Director, Yahoo Strategic Partnerships, you will be directly responsible establishing, developing and executing key distribution, product, and monetization partnerships for Yahoo, with a focus on building and expanding Yahoo! ’ s relationships with ISP and Telecommunications companies in North America. This individual will align and partner with the business lead for such categories, and be responsible for prospecting potential partners and upon identification, opening discussions with prospects, negotiating business terms, contracts and all relevant duties associated with developing new and existing partnerships.

This person will be responsible for developing partnerships with leading ISP and Telecommunications companies in the US; developing strong day to day relationships with business counterparts; understanding partner business and product strategy objectives and ensuring those objectives are integrated into Yahoo!'s partner business strategy; working across the Yahoo organization to surface and support partner-specific initiatives; analyzing overall deal performance; and developing initiatives designed to grow business in new areas.

• Prospect, qualify, negotiate and close deals in an aggressive time-frame
• Assist with developing business models to analyze deals
• Define product and service solutions that meet partner's needs
• Drive relationship building process at multiple levels between partner and Yahoo!, including at the senior executive level
• Work with internal teams to ensure organizational understanding of partner product strategy and needs
• Analyze performance of accounts and report results
• Lead complex contract negotiations
• Work directly with existing partners and partner operations team to implement Yahoo products

In addition, this person should have an experienced/tenured business development track record, strong online experience, experience working with ISPs and Telecommunications companies, experience with complex deal structuring, solution sales and development ( “ solution selling ” ), an ability to navigate across complex organization, an ability to establish credibility quickly, willingness to take action, make decisions and lead.

Minimum Requirements:

• A BS/BA is required, MBA or equivalent degree preferred
• Minimum of 8 years of business development or equivalent experience is required
• Excellent leadership, prioritization, communication, analytic and quantitative skills
• High degree of comfort overseeing major projects, leading teams, and working with senior executives are also necessary.
