Job description
We are currently seeking a Sr. Program Engagement Manager to join our growing Insurance team and work in a client engagement leadership role with a key account based in New York, New York.
Senior Program Managers play a significant role in the business and are considered integral to the client service team. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years’ of Program Management experience, and demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the overall successful delivery of multiple client engagements in a matrix model
Relationship management with client leadership and their extended leadership team
Leading client projects from the initiation through project completion
Agreeing with the customer stakeholders on the scope and timing of project deliverables and provide regular updates on project progress to internal stakeholders
Mobilizing teams for successful project delivery
Ensuring completion of project deliverables and adherence to timelines and budgets
Analyzing and resolving issues/risks that have the potential to jeopardize the ability to meet agreed upon deliverables
Mentoring teams on tools and processes to manage projects, participate in hiring decisions, conduct performance appraisals on staff
Providing full and accurate project communication with the internal and external customer and vendors
Managing internal and external client expectations on all project requirements and deliverables
Performing oversight of geographically disbursed teams using established criteria and professional standards
Working with architecture and delivery teams to deliver full life cycle technical and business solutions.
Desired Skills and Experience
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a client-facing engagement management role with an IT professional services firm
Minimum 2 years’ experience managing large (70+ member) development teams with an IT services organization deploying an onsite/offshore delivery model
Experience converting at least one staff augmentation engagement to managed services delivery using a global delivery model
Minimum 5 years’ experience managing IT engagements providing middle office and back office solutions to Financial Services Asset Management clients, with knowledge in several of the following areas: Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, Real Estate Assets
Minimum Bachelor Degree
Desired Skills and Experience:
Demonstrated ability in managing internal and external client expectations on project requirements and deliverables
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences both internally and within client organizations
Experience delivering thought leadership in the Financial Services Asset Management domain, operating models and the value proposition of a global delivery model
Ability to build confidence and trust with senior level customers
Extensive experience working with Project Management processes, including experience with Project Management tools to plan, manage and monitor projectsAbility to build lasting trusted-advisor relationships with executive level clients within IT and the Business
Experience creating end-to-end engagement execution solutions for Asset Management companies in areas such as Fixed Income, Equities, or Real Estate Assets
Experience leading and managing multiple distributed teams to achieve client goals
Track record of effectively managing multiple objectives and tasks within a dynamic work environment
Problem solving with the aptitude to identify strategic solutions to business problems with enterprise-wide implications
Experience with Eagle PACE, LVTS, Bloomberg Products, J2EE or Oracle is preferred
MS or MBA degree preferred
PMP certification preferred
