X.commerce builds Magento which is a feature-rich eCommerce platform that gives online merchants the power to create their eCommerce stores that are tailored to their unique business needs.
As the Principal Architect, you will be responsible for defining Magento enterprise level architecture, recommending new technologies, and make sure that architecture aligning to business and technology goals.
You have strong eCommerce software architecture experience, strong knowledge of building large scale and high performance web services, and in-depth knowledge of open source technologies and development management. You should be customer-centric and has a demonstrable track record of delivering system architecture and high quality core functions that went into production successfully.

Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture and drive the architecture council. Define and enforce architectural standards and guidelines. Verify compliance of projects.
Hands on architecting and implementing solutions on critical components.
Maintain an ongoing partnership with business to apply in-depth knowledge of business operations, strategies, priorities, and requirements to establish technical directions and enterprise architecture.
Define technical visions for the whole organization.
Identify technology trends and evaluate emerging technologies.
Oversees the design and delivery of proofs-of-concept for new or improved enterprise-wide technologies.
Recommend version controls and code merging strategies for high quality and efficiency.
Provide input to overall sourcing strategy to support the decision 'make or buy'
Inform and educate engineers and developers about news and changes in architecture.
Working with Operations for hardware capacity analysis, production configuration and deployment.
10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture domains.
5+ years of experience architecting and developing high availability, highly scalable and high performance multi-tier web service systems
Advanced experience in PHP, Zend Framework, Java, MySQL, and JavaScript.
Expertise in open source technology and development management.
Familiar with MongoDB and JSON.
Familiar with Object oriented designs, Cloud, and CICD (continuous integration continuous deployment).
Strong communication skills in both technical and business areas.
Excellent influential and indirect leadership skills.
Ability to lead/drive teams to consensus decisions on complex business and technical data challenges
Experience using Agile development methodology is highly desirable.
2+ years of management experience is a plus.
Magento application design and development is a plus.
Speaking Russian is a plus.
Possess personal qualities of creativity, high levels of ethical and moral integrity.
Bachelor Degree or Equivalent
