Huge is currently seeking a collaborative, hands-on Content Strategy Lead to join our team. As a growing part of our Strategy discipline, the Content Strategy team uses their creativity and knowledge to balance and solve user, business, and technical content needs.

Content Strategy Leads play a vital role in creating and implementing multi-platform digital products for some of the largest businesses in the world. They’re passionate about sparking connections between people and content, and dedicated to maintaining the integrity of that content throughout the design and build process.

Successful Content Strategy Leads at Huge can move seamlessly between the strategic and the tactical, with a focus on the full content lifecycle. They’re a decisive product owner, a confident manager, a helpful mentor, a team player, and a skilled client partner all rolled into one.

Our Content Strategy Leads are just as comfortable directing a team as they are rolling up their sleeves and producing detailed deliverables. They work closely with all other disciplines to ensure alignment, while being sensitive to both the brand and the client’s capabilities. Additionally, they may manage and mentor other content strategists who may or may not be assigned to their projects.

Typical CS deliverables include:

Research: audits, gap analysis, competitive assessments, user and stakeholder interviews, etc.
Publishing Strategy: vision, mobile, social, search, tone / voice, monetization, etc.
Structure: navigation, taxonomy, metadata schema, ontology, etc.
Implementation: publishing workflows, content requirements, migration plans, governance, etc.
Optimization: content ROI analysis, keyword ranking analysis, etc.

Responsibilities:

Work with and evolve Huge's content strategy program, from the discovery phase through build and optimization
Collaborate with Project Managers and Engagement Directors to create project scopes, schedules, and road maps
Plan for, delegate, oversee, and polish Content Strategy deliverables
Create and present content strategy deliverables as needed
Evangelize and sell content strategy to clients, to Huge, and to the larger digital community
Participate in business development efforts for new and existing accounts
Identify and define content strategy opportunities throughout the design process

Desired Skills and Experience
8+ years’ working experience leading content strategy development, preferably in an agency or consulting environment
Experience advocating for content strategy best practices, principles, and methodology
Deep working knowledge of user-centered design
Expert understanding of content delivery, management, and retrieval systems
Awareness of emerging content strategy trends, tools, and technology
Elegant use of both qualitative and quantitative data to inform content priorities
Proven ability to dig into the details and emerge with strong strategic insights and a good story
Self-motivated and capable of managing simultaneous projects
A love of massive spreadsheets and copy decks
Experience working on large-scale redesigns or e-commerce
Comfortable thinking on your feet and working through ambiguity

We are open to relocating candidates to the Los Angeles area.
