Position Summary:
The Director of Information Technology provides leadership, planning, development and execution for all aspects of the information technology function for Corporate, Products and Services ensuring alignment with the business objectives. Formulates and administers IT policies, procedures, budgets, goals and objectives. This individual serves as a resource to the organization by identifying and communicating information technology implications for strategic initiatives. He/she anticipates changes and emerging trends in information technology. This person provides strategic leadership for the Information Technology Department – software architecture, software deployment, administrative computing, web support, network operations, systems security, disaster recovery, and telecommunications. This individual works closely with the management team to plan, forecast, procure, implement and maintain cost-effective technology solutions for Mistras and reports to executive management.

Desired Skills & Experience
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
5-7 years’ experience in directing information technology, ideally within a service industry and/or engineering industry.
Leadership experience managing projects and/or project portfolios in positions of increasing responsibility which includes resource planning, project scheduling and tracking via project management software.
Problem analysis and resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
Strong understanding and skills/experience in Microsoft Servers (Windows, MSSQL), Local and Wide Area Networks.
Ability to multitask and prioritize the jobs based on the business needs is a must
Experience with mobile device application development such as iPhones and Android is a plus.
Extensive knowledge of Windows operating software.
Thorough knowledge of hardware components and their functions.
Industry recognized certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer [MCSE]).
Viewed as subject matter expert within the organization.
Integrated international and domestic systems and capabilities.
Basic knowledge of TCP/IP routing and subnets.
Basic VPN concepts.
Use of troubleshooting tools and diagnostics.
Occasional international travel, not to exceed 25%.
Technologies are Oracle with PL/SQL and SQL Server with Transact-SQL.
