Job Description
Rocket Fuel is looking for an HR, Director to help deliver uniquely positive experiences to our employees. The HR Director reports directly to the CFO and has responsibility for all aspects of HR and the full lifecycle of our employees, creating an environment that attracts them as recruits and continuously excites them as professionals and as people. Responsibilities:
Focus on: Recruiting, Training, Culture, Development and Teamwork.
Review trends in compensation, propose opportunities and consult with leaders to implement distribution guidelines
Ensure that all Human Resource systems are developed and implemented in a manner that complies with local, state and federal employment laws
Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs, reviews and evaluates Rocket Fuel’s Human Resource function and performance metrics
Lead performance management and talent calibration initiatives to strengthen the organization
Conduct 360 reviews of senior management
Drive on-boarding and training of new employees, working with functional managers
Participate (as needed) in interviews, candidate selection, compensation reconciliation & development for managers and executives
Skills & Abilities:
Uphold and nurture Rocket Fuel’s culture to promote from within, investing time and energy in building social fabric among employees.
Reinforce culture in senior managers and help develop junior managers
Proven ability to provide strategic counsel in all matters affecting the organization, including: organization restructuring, succession planning, talent acquisition, and talent development
Ability to provide sophisticated advice and coaching in response to business issues
Provide direction and consultation to departments with regards to HR policies, procedures, programs and initiatives
Encourage hiring managers to give a variety of projects and development opportunities to employees
Confident in stepping forward to confront difficult issues
Requirements
Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred
At least 8 years experience and successful track record as a HR business partner and advisor to senior leaders as well as an excellent coach to junior managers
Experience working in high-growth startups or entrepreneurial teams inside larger companies
Experience managing benefits, payroll, stock plans, and other administrative functions
Ease in building rapport and trust with employees
