Job Description
We are in search of a strong Director of Project Management to join our creative team.
Core Accountabilities:
Plan, execute and direct complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Lead, motivate and foster coordination across the multi-disciplinary teams with diverse backgrounds to develop an integrated creative methodology for solid project management solutions.
Oversee the development and timely flow of project deliverables, ensuring they are aligned with project goals, and drive creative work to completion on time, on scope and on budget.
Identify effective staffing for project needs and maximize the efficiency and optimization of the team.
Ensure timelines and milestones - from first concept thru to final delivery – stay on track.
Partner with VP, Creative and internal colleagues to prioritize schedules, then manage and maintain schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
Ensure the team consistently meets and/or exceeds business owner expectations and that business owner approves & sign-offs on all major deliverables.
Research and implement efficient project management tools which will organize and update projects progress and status for all stakeholders.
Anticipate and resolve potential problems/issues, and know when to escalate (notify VP, Creative).
Ensure key creative decisions are appropriately communicated to all stakeholders: business unit, executive leadership, etc.
Function as the creative department point of escalation and decision-maker to resolve issues.
Own the creative briefing process, ensuring that briefs are signed off by the VP, Creative and that they meet the requirements of the Creative department; liaising with relevant creative teams to ensure that briefs are delivered in a timely fashion and that delays are properly communicated to the team.
Conduct post-mortems at end of projects, adjusting according to lessons-learned.
Desired Skills & Experience
Requirements:
10 years project management experience in complex high demand environments
5 years team leadership
Experience managing multimillion dollar budgets
Familiarity with effective standard project management software tools
