Director, Cusotmer Service US Xpress, Inc. - Chattanooga
Job Description
Position Purpose
To effectively guide the Customer Service Managers and Customer Service Representatives in freight solicitation, selection, and scheduling of freight for our accounts that best utilizes our assets in the most profitable manner on a daily basis; while providing exceptional customer service and satisfying our corporate goals.
Job Functions
Monitor performance compliance in order to meet or exceed company requirements
Sustain a working knowledge of product offering and needs of each market.
Maintain accessibility to direct reports and customers.
Provide directive to management using reporting tools, historical data and forecasting.
Direct solicitation process for the Customer Service and National Account Departments.
Uphold the retention of Customer Service Representatives and Drivers.
Provide training and coaching to assist in the development customer base and provide superior service.
Manage employee counseling, discipline, reviews and salary adjustments.
Administer the hiring of staff and workload assignment.
Support sales force developing existing and implementing new accounts.
May include other duties as assigned by Management.
Desired Skills & Experience
Key Knowledge and Experience
Any combination of education or experience equivalent to a four year degree.
Ten plus years of transportation management experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
AS400 and XPM experience preferred
Extensive industry knowledge including competitor’s capabilities and markets.
Proven management skills including: team building, leadership, and change management skills.
