Taleo is looking to expand its Corporate Strategy and Development team with the addition of a Director of Corporate Strategy to support its activities. The Corporate Strategy and Development team is responsible for driving overall M&A, corporate strategy, and investments for Taleo. The Corporate Strategy and Development (Sr) Director will be involved with all aspects of corporate strategy and the M&A deal processes, and will gain Top of Formsignificant exposure to the senior leadership team._______________________________________ Responsibilities
* Work with senior executives to understand industry trends and shape Taleo’s growth strategy * Conduct industry and market research to assess Taleo’s organic and inorganic growth opportunities in specific markets, industries, and geographies * Initiate, conduct and support strategy projects * Identify and screen acquisition opportunities that fit with the Company’s growth strategy * Maintain financial models to evaluate potential acquisitions, investments and other strategic alternatives * Assist in due diligence examinations of acquisition targets and support the process of executing and integrating acquisitions * Coordinate internal and external strategy and/or transaction due diligence team activities * Develop strategy, transaction committee and Board presentation materials * Contribute to ad hoc assignments, as necessary, to support key corporate initiatives
* Minimum 7/10 years (Director/Sr Director) experience in a SaaS and/or software business * Ideal candidate will have management consulting or investment banking background * Strong M&A experience within an enterprise software company * MBA strongly preferred * Strong analytic and communication skills * Self-starter with the ability to handle simultaneous projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
