Job Description
Lead the development of retail marketing goals,strategies, plans and tools with the objective of achieving successful sell in and sell through results for KEEN globally. Key focus areas are strategic planning, visual presentation of KEEN at retail, account marketing programs and Field Service Team team management.
Works with the VP Marketing and VP Global Sales and Market Development to develop short and long term strategic plans for KEEN retail marketing.
Develop, communicate and implement the strategy and programs for the visual presentation of KEEN at retail globally.
Direct development and execution of key account marketing programs designed to help achieve the sales objectives for each key account while also building KEEN brand awareness.
Direct the US Field Service team to drive sell-through via retail staff training, merchandising and events, setting an industry-leading standard for brand/retailer engagement. Develop best practices and tools to develop effective FSR teams in international markets.
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
10+ years of marketing experience, with a focus on retail marketing, including account marketing, in store fixtures/POP and merchandising, and field rep team management. Outdoor and/or footwear industry experience a plus.
Demonstrated functional and team leadership combined with people development skills. Proven ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Experience developing business/functional goals, strategies and plans and demonstrated budget management experience.
Understanding of US and international markets and how to develop global retail marketing tools.
Excellent creative judgment combined with proven success bringing innovation to marketing programs and processes.
Comprehensive knowledge of general marketing principles, branding, retail marketing (account marketing, in store fixtures/POP and merchandising), and marketing strategy, plan and program development.
Excellent presentation and communications skills.
Proficient in MS Office Suite.
