Newark is looking for a highly competent and motivated General Sales Manager –

Job Purpose:
Lead the inside and outside sales team to achieve sales and margin objectives in a multi market territory while driving excellence in the customer experience. The GSM has responsibility for delivering sales, profit and ROI goals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and motivate the Branch/Virtual sales team to meet and exceed the geographic territory’s sales and profit objectives; continually raising the bar to ensure superior performance
Recruit, develop and retain talent to ensure that highest level of performance is engaged within the team
Team and partner with DSM to leverage board level opportunities.
lso utilize this resource for creation and demand opportunities within EDE segment. Achieve segment sales targets.
Develop strategies to maximize sales, profit and ROI by deploying appropriate resources at Newark’s customers/segments
Key supplier engagement
Securing and analysing relevant data in order to quickly take appropriate action(s)
Partner with ASD to develop plans to further penetrate geographic marketplace
Drive efficiencies through effective process implementation and resource planning
Effective execution of marketing initiatives and campaigns
Develop relationships with customers, suppliers and internal partners to deliver new business opportunities
Contribute to sales strategy in a multi-channel environment
Lead change
Lead team environment across Multi selling sales channels and with headquarters
Personal development; seeking and capitalizing on new opportunities
Negotiate key customer contracts

JOB REQUIREMENTS
College degree required or a minimum of 7 years of sales management experience in a competitive sales environment
A minimum of 5 years of B2B sales management experience required; outside sales experience utilizing consultative selling methods, preferred
Demonstrated leadership capabilities
Demonstrated communication skill that drives others to action
Selling skills to include experience in leading Inside and Field Sales roles
Local industry knowledge preferred
Excellent presentation skills required
Previous experience hiring and staffing required
Effective negotiation and influencing skills
