DIRECTOR, TECHNICAL OPERATIONS
Velti is seeking a Director of Technical Operations who would be leading a small team (3-5),responsible for systems architecture, deployment and operations of our SaaSsolutions. Additionally this person will also lead our Level 2 support team.
Our systems include physical servers in data centers as wellas Amazon instances in the cloud.
This hands-on position calls for very strong systemsthinking and technical breadth.
A successfulcandidate will have demonstrated excellence in deployments, JBoss and Apacheconfigurations, server and data center management; data center capacityplanning, process development and deployment, operations, and troubleshooting.Additionally, you will need to be a leader and have strong communication andinterpersonal skills.
Technical operations experience should include:

- Deployments of a suite of distributed J2EEapplications
- Expertise in Jboss and Apache configurations
- Monitoring systems such as Nagios and Cacti
- Operating systems including Linux and someWindows
- Scripting & programming
- Databases – ideally, Postgres & Oracle
- Network configuration and routing
- Software and hardware based load balancing
- Level 2 support experience with a productconsisting of a suite of distributed components
