Job Description
The DC Director Of Manufacturing is charged with championing a spirit of continuous improvement. The DC DOM develops tactics and strategies to improve and enhance our Lean Six Sigma process. He/she will implement the programs and manage daily plant operations at our 42,500 sq.ft, state-of-the art wire harness manufacturing facility. This person must have experience developing efficient production systems, ensuring on-time delivery, managing personnel and building teams.
Duties Include
Ensure that DC stays on the cutting edge of LEAN process design.
Develop new LEAN 6s programs
Utilize LEAN techniques to drive operational excellence and improve product margin
Ensure on-time delivery
Train and motivate work force; Manage production workers
Optimize asset utilization
Interface with design; Enhance product designs; Ensure manufacturability
Develop processes, procedures and documentation methodologies
Oversee supply chain management
Continuously improve quality and efficiency
Develop and monitor budgets; Maintain labor costs; Set work rates
Ensure plant is kept neat, clean, safe
Desired Skills & Experience
Must have recent 5+ years of operations management with production, quality and supply chain as direct reports.
Track record of implementing lean / six-sigma / continuous improvement manufacturing methodology.
Certification or extensive experience with LEAN Six Sigma.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross functional environment
Computer and systems savvy; Knowledge of ERP implementation
Need a type A personality who takes charge, leads by example and drives operations to excel
Must have: electronics OEM supplier experience: low volume, high mix, diverse small parts, fast turnaround times.
