We are currently looking for a qualified Sr Principal (Director), Business Unit Operations to join our Sales Ops team at our San Francisco, CA office.

Job Overview

This position is responsible to coordinate and oversee CA's strategic partnering, portfolio planning and analysis process as a senior member of CA's Business Unit Operations team. Evaluate CA's highest priority opportunities and deliver data-driven, insightful recommendations to help CA's senior executives make sound and timely decisions.

Desired Skills & Experience

Key Responsibilities

* Work directly with key executives to manage and participate in both corporate-led and business unit-led project teams.
* Research, analyze and deliver data-driven insights to support actionable strategic direction and opportunity prioritization.
* Analyze industry trends, competitive threats, expansion opportunities and internal performance.
* Work collaboratively across CA to help secure the commitment for cross-company efforts.
* Own the financial modeling, assessment, and validation of opportunities to enter new markets - build/buy/partner.
* Identify and communicate business issues proactively.
* Lead projects ensuring appropriate use of all resources available.
* Communicate project findings to all interested parties within CA at both the executive and non-executive levels.
* Speak with industry analysts to strengthen recommendations given to executive management.
* Mentor others in the Strategic Planning group to grow their knowledge of the data captured and analyzed.

Business Travel
Business travel of approximately 10 or less percent yearly is expected for this position.

Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree or global equivalent. MBA from top program, demonstrable equivalent experience or global equivalent.

Work Experience
Typically 10 or more years of experience in one or more of the following: management consulting, investment banking/research, venture capital, private equity, product management or corporate development experience. Strong understanding of software industry.
