This Vice President of Software Development opportunity will be focused on the Sabre Hospitality Solutions division of our business. Sabre Hospitality Solutions leverages the strength and breadth of Sabre's technology, marketing and distribution tools to bring hotel suppliers a global end-to-end solution. Sabre Hospitality Solutions enables hoteliers to benefit from the streamlined integration of these innovative, comprehensive tools to help them increase revenues, identify savings and improve customer service.
General Description:
* Responsible for all aspects of product development, quality assurance and product deployment
* Will work closely with Product Management and Product Design teams to understand product requirements and successfully deliver product functionality that meets documented requirements
* Demonstrated ability to develop and grow a distributed global team consisting of onshore, offshore and outsourced resources
* Strong technical background including knowledge of Microsoft .net framework and Oracle database
* Experience in high transaction SaaS application environment
* Strong understanding of development methodologies including agile and waterfall life cycle approaches
* Individual should have demonstrated ability to adapt and improve process and structure required to support a growing platform and organization
* Comfortable interacting with key business executives and customers
Experience:
· Minimum 10 years related experience;
· 7 years prior supervisory experience preferred;
· Proven technical skills in a high transaction environment
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
· Ability to lead and direct a growing, global organization ;
· Ability to delegate work to subordinates; proven leadership ability.
Education:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Master's degree preferred.
