The BA Director, Sterile Injectables will be the primary analytics partner to the Global Sterile Injectables Lead (VP-Level) in the Pfizer Essential Health (PEH), but will be expected to own several client relationships across that commercial organization. He / She will lead the analytic planning to inform decision-making to maximize PEH Business Unit performance. He / She will play a pivotal role in helping the Global Sterile Injectables team identify opportunities in the assessment &; execution of the commercial pipeline strategy, maximize lifecycle opportunities, and recognize efficiencies in the on-market portfolio.
• Lead the analytic partnership with the Sterile Injectables Lead and represent the BA community to client team.
• Lead identification, planning/prioritizing and execution of analyses to support strategic objectives of the Sterile Injectables Team.
• Support the priorities of Pipeline Strategy, Pipeline Development, Lifecycle Management and On Market Strategy teams by partnering with the teams to determine priority projects and analyses.
• Synthesize actionable insights from strategic analyses into well-structured communications and deliver to senior management
• Lead and develop analytic solutions around internally generated data in combination with third party data sources and primary market research to enhance decisions made to maximize the large portfolio of products
• Leverage different secondary data sources (e.g. MIDAS and other data sources) and work with large databases to derive insights and infer actions; identify new sources of data as needed
• Be a strategic thought partner to leadership in goal-setting, strategy development, performance measurement, and new opportunity identification/prioritization to support strategic planning, Operating Plan, etc.
• Work with the New Capabilities Development BA team to develop new and efficient ways of interacting with data and extract insights from them
• Work effectively with client teams and other PEH Global BA team members and the broader BA teams, and partner enabling functions (e.g. Finance, PGS, Medical/Regulatory) to deliver the highest level of service to the PEH Sterile Injectables team.
• Lead cross-functional analytics teams including BA COE, other PEH BAI team members and (as needed) contingent analytics colleagues to ensure the successful and efficient implementation of initiatives across the PEH portfolio.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 10+ Years’ experience in Analytics function and/or strategic consulting function
• Bachelor’s degree required; MA/MS/MBA or other advanced degree preferred
• Deep expertise working with and managing large volumes of data is required
• Deep expertise with secondary data analysis required
• Expertise with primary market research is required
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, data management and project management skills; ability to guide the design of and leverage insights from analyses
• Highly autonomous; results and accountability oriented.
• Ability to work independently on qualitative and quantitative analyses
• Ability to manage and execute simultaneously, multiple projects involving a variety of analytic techniques (including forecasting).
• Ability to quickly establish credibility with internal client-partners and to be the seen as a partner to the business with a deep expertise in analytics and delivering impactful results
• A critical thought leader, proactively identifying the need for specific analyses and programs, and marshaling the resources to evaluate and resolve the most challenging, strategic client issues
• Ability to provide structure to ambiguous situations, proactively collaborating with senior members of the commercial team to help coordinate and prioritize most critical needs
• Strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, skilled at influencing others leveraging clear and effective frameworks
• Ability to work effectively in and lead cross-functional teams (including contingent resources) as well as in partnership with fellow BA colleagues, BA COE, functional partners, other BUs, and external partners.
• Comfort with Tableau (or similar interactive analytics platforms) is preferred
• Knowledge of the Sterile Injectables market is a plus
