Purpose
Contribute the development of category practices for the Concept HW & Furniture, Marketing Materials & POS category, and ensure execution in the Market:
Develop Plans for NAM Initiatives and own execution of Initiatives Help define and deploy sourcing strategies for the category Execute stakeholder management to maximize total cost of ownership savings and Procurement’s value contribution Assure achieving compliance targets with policies, strategies, and processes Strive to meet the mutually agreed Procurement targets contributing to the overall budget targets
Define, in collaboration with the Global Director Retail, the category strategy for respective categories Concept HW & Furniture, Marketing Materials & POS Analyze category and define category profile, incl. risk assessment, supplier base assessment and SRM strategy Benchmark category practices to identify initiatives for improvement Build Category specific strategic plan for NAM in alignment with Global Procurement Teams Align strategic plan to financial budget and business strategies Define P2P and buying channel strategies, identify and consider automation potential and P2P/ channel effectiveness Lead market strategy implementation and savings realization Initiate internal and external analysis (industry and supplier) Consolidate requirements and act as business partner for business/ other functions, supporting the alignment and optimization of specification with the business / other functions Lead contract implementation and drive contract compliance Be accountable for efficient enablement of negotiation outcomes by increasing the level of automated content within the category, instructing on new content updates and by providing clear instructions about the category strategy to enable compliance Be accountable for savings delivery according to the mutually defined targets Support the work and efforts of a cross-functional sourcing team in all stages of a strategic sourcing project Collaborate and align with global/ market/ country procurement teams as applicable Support supplier selection and fact-based negotiations Contribute to leading practice exchange throughout Procurement organization Lead RfX execution: Select supplier and drive fact based negotiations Collaborate with legal to finalize contractual agreement and its administration Work with Procurement Leads to implement and activate contracts globally Manage commercial supplier relationship management with key suppliers within the defined category scope Maintain and manage relationship with suppliers identified as key suppliers in the respective category, monitors performance of key strategic suppliers according to the guidelines Lead supplier development activities; set up cross-functional review meetings with key strategic suppliers in order to improve performance and further cost / demand reductions Support the identification of potential contract improvement opportunities and re-negotiations Manage relationship with key stakeholders and business representatives Provide input on volume/ specification/ price to build smart consumption policies Act as an escalation point for category related issues and drive resolution in line with global Procurement policies Achieve “buy-in” from key stakeholders for major procurement initiatives Create and outline contribution for budget improvements Manage relationships with market and country business units. Foster that needs are being identified, represented and incorporated into category strategies Own price information, contributing to budgeting process Support resource allocation between global and market/ country category initiatives Act as Point of Contact for the business to assure business requirements are met

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Advanced in sourcing and procurement methodologies and concepts and business partnering Expert in category management and sourcing execution Extremely good knowledge of procurement strategy development and conveyance Strong knowledge of procurement tools and data, content and automation Expert in risk and compliance management Strong ability to analyze specifications and influence demand Extensive capability to independently interact throughout the adidas Group Project and process management knowledge and experience Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills Action oriented and solution minded team player with high degree of self-management Proficiency in MS Office Fluent in English, spoken and written
Qualifications
A master’s degree with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, finance, procurement or legal, or comparable professional education At least 10+ years’ working experience with 3+ years of experience in similar or adequate role in procurement environment, preferably with project and people management elements
