The Director of Global Travel Services is a dedicated, passionate leader, who leads a critical company program. You will be responsible for developing world-class processes and implementing a strategy that ensures ease of travel at an optimized cost. Your travel program includes approximately $50M in annual travel and expense spend, and will be able to scale to support anticipated growth in our business. Strong communication skills are critical given the expected amount of interaction with company leaders, internal customers, team members, cross-functional peers and external suppliers.
Adaptability to change and a willingness to accept new challenges with a positive attitude are important prerequisites. You will be a critical leader with big-picture vision and a customer service focus, able to understand and implement modern, automated technologies. You have an extensive background in expense management systems, corporate credit card programs, online booking tools, supplier negotiations and management. You will ensure continuity of service across the travel enterprise, while promoting and monitoring compliance with our travel policies. You will assist with travelers’ needs, bookings, and concerns. You will lead the external travel agencies that manage travel for our employees. You will utilize travel analytics to provide insights needed to make travel improvements and you will develop insightful metrics that will help gauge the effectiveness of our programs. In addition, you will:

Lead the Travel Management Company (TMC) relationship, including improving the customer experience, identifying process efficiencies, driving program compliance, and providing savings opportunities.

Manage other travel supplier relationships (Airline, Hotel, Car Rental, etc.).

Engage with senior company executives to service their departments' needs, minimize non-compliance and optimize their travel experience.

Conduct quarterly business reviews to manage suppliers used.

Facilitate regular meetings with global partners and report overall travel performance to executive management through travel analytics and report metrics in the way of regular business reviews.

Communicate effectively across multiple time zones

What we need to see:

BS degree with minimum of 15+ years’ relevant experience. MBA preferred.

Led travel for a large spend corporation (excess $30M annually).

You are a passionate authority in the industry; possess knowledge on basic trends and protocols as related to global corporate travel.

Advanced experience with online travel booking tools such as GDS, Sabre, and Concur.

Solid problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills are required and customer focus is key.

European/Global experience considered advantageous.

Strong analytical abilities with ability to influence at the leadership level

Experience with on-line booking tools and with Concur travel approval
Strong project management skills
