Set the vision for data infrastructure and analytics and execute to achieve the vision.
Architecture
Drive build vs. buy decisions, high-level architecture of our data streams and warehouses.
Enable the team to scale large batch and streaming data pipelines.
Own the architecture and execution of the data warehousing and stream data processing platforms.
Data Models and Pipelines
Identify requirements and use cases from multiple internal teams - product, learning, services, finance, careers and more and own the solutions for the requirements.
Drive the design, building, and launching of new data models and data pipelines in production.
Manage the delivery of high impact dashboards and data visualizations.
Data Quality
Define and manage SLAs for all data sets and processes running in production.
Drive data quality across all business areas.
Cross-functional
Work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders including Product Managers, Business leaders, and their data analysts.
Collaborate with platform teams on security and privacy best practices.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in architecting/engineering data warehouses and stream data processing architectures.
5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
Communication and leadership skills, with the ability to initiate and drive projects and project management skills.
Experience with stream data processing platforms such as Kafka, Flink, Kinesis, Spark, Storm.
Experience in SQL or similar languages and development experience in a scripting language such as Python.
Experience in data visualization tools and techniques.
