ThoughtSpot has an opening for a Director of Business Applications and IT. We are looking for a professional with a strong background in IT Applications who has an in-depth understanding of business applications that tie business processes across multiple functions together. He or she will be responsible for evaluating our existing applications, technology, and processes, building relationships with business leaders, & advising the executive team on the best ways to move forward with best-in-class solutions. You will be a pivotal leader within our company, report directly to the VP of Finance & Strategy and work closely with the CEO direct staff. The position is a great opportunity for a talented individual to help drive improvements and build out a modern IT landscape for the Company.
Responsibilities:
Advise & recommend strategic alternatives for the overall Information Technology landscape to the CEO Staff. Execute on those initiatives with visibility and communications along the way.
Set the Strategic direction for global IT including teams located in Palo Alto, Dallas, Seattle, India, EMEA and APAC
Optimize collaboration between IT and other groups
Oversee and optimize hardware acquisitions & technology vendor negotiations with close cooperation with the facilities, purchasing and legal functions. Assume oversight of the IT budget planning and execution.
Drive the top level critical business systems projects to meet the transformational business needs present at the Company today and anticipate those of tomorrow
Ensure compliance and security to best in class public company governance across the IT landscape
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Customer service focused mindset in all that is planned and executed by IT
At least 10 to 15 years proven experience as the top-level leader of IT at technology companies
Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure and background in designing / developing IT systems and planning IT implementation
Experience leading consolidation of business systems / processes / applications
Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations
Experience with Cloud-based business systems including Salesforce.com, NetSuite, and other born in the cloud communication and business systems
Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
