As Managing Director you are ultimately responsible for the daily management, a safe operation, the results, the policy and the developments of the terminal. You hereby give direct guidance to the departments Commerce, Operations and QHSE, Technical Service and Customer Service. The staff services such as Finance (including customs), HR and IT are also under your responsibility.
You identify possible problems early and know how to resolve the cause directly and decisively. From a natural interest for people you are aware of what is going on within the team. Because of this, despite the growing organization you know how to retain the team spirit. You are constantly informed of the figures and the status of the current projects. You are strong in your shoes, you are enterprising and dare to soundboards.
• Responding to the needs of the customer, where customer orientation and a high level of service are the basic starting point of your actions;
• Safety in the operation, security of the terminal and an eye for the external risks of the company;
• Contact person for (port) authorities;
• Ensuring logistic optimization at the terminal;
• The efficient use and management of storage and transshipment capacity.
In this responsible position you report directly to the holding management.
Job requirements
As a Managing Director you have a no-nonsense personality and you have a cost-conscious entrepreneurial mentality and commercial feeling with the market in which you operate. You also have demonstrable affinity with technical operational processes and preferably a proven track record at a (tank) terminal or experience in the process industry. You have good communication skills, you have managerial experience and a completed HBO or Academic degree. Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language is a must.
