The Director of Strategic Alliances & Partner Development will lead Lenovo - Data Center Group initiatives to identify and secure new sources of software growth and help bring compelling and differentiated solutions to market. The role will be a key contributor to the product management team, sales organization and overall business strategy by adding new and expanding revenue generated with existing strategic alliance partners.

Strong collaboration internally and externally with various teams and worldwide regions is required. The ideal candidate will have a passionate desire to deliver measurable results, have a disciplined approach to prioritize initiatives, a tenacious commitment to improvement and a relentless drive to win.
This position requires an experienced strategic alliance director with strong business development skills and experience. The ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker with a record of monetizing mutually beneficial technology alliances.

The individual must have a background and strong knowledge of enterprise IT, cloud, datacenter, virtualization, security and networking markets with practical experience building and driving global partnership GTM initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• Directly responsible for and accountable for the generation of SW revenue through strategic partnerships
• Manages a team of alliance managers but also personally manages partners and alliances where necessary.
• Integrates multiple points of view (VOC, Sales, Analysts, Colleagues) and aligns groups to drive towards achievement of revenue-based alliances goals.
• Recognizes new value-generating opportunities in the context of a broad and deep alliance partnerships and realizes the opportunity by translating concepts and conversations into strategic alliances and concrete plans.
• Builds plans and operationalizes financial models for alliance partnerships.
• Facilitates regular, clear and consistent communication around objectives and progress toward those objectives internally and externally as needed.
• Drives appropriate follow-up and escalates issues when necessary.
• Proactively works with others to effectively integrate development activities cross-functionally to maximize solution and commercial value.
• Applies energy, passion, a winner’s disposition and commitment to excellence in all endeavors.
