The Director of the Healthcare Solutions Engineers will develop and lead an organization of Pre-Sales Professionals including Solutions Engineers, Solution Specialists, Partner Engineers and Sales Leaders in VMware’s Healthcare business. This is a National Role that will include healthcare payers and providers.

Using prior experience and leadership skills, you will grow the Healthcare business by building business partnerships internally and externally with a focus on customer success and the partner ecosystem. You will also have direct influence on product improvements and the new products/solutions that VMware brings to market.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead a Healthcare Pre-Sales Engineering organization
Develop and maintain internal partnerships with the Field Sales, Alliances, Partner, and Professional Services Organizations to grow the Healthcare business
Lead team execution through solution selling, and influence selling complex, large-scale technology solutions to senior client executives
Engage with strategic client leadership (CIO, CTO, Solution Architects, VPs and Directors of IT); building relationships, evangelizing VMware solutions, and providing domain expertise to assist in closing business
Ensure teams are trained and skilled to ask probing questions that are meaningful to the customer to collect information that enables the sales team to be more effective and responsive to customer’s needs
Contribute to strategic technology and operations improvements by providing feedback to sales and product management
Partner with sales to grow product and services revenue
Required Skills:
8+ years of experience managing or leading a successful presales and services organization preferably in the Healthcare Enterprise Software space
10+ years of relevant technology or industry experience in customer-facing positions preferably within the Enterprise Software or technology domain
Successful track record of leading high-performance teams
Strong organizational and project management skills with an ability to manage competing client demands and multiple engagements
Experience with financial modeling and benchmarking principles
Proven ability to communicate professionally with executives, teams, customers and partners, including CxO-level leaders
Proven ability to align customer interests and navigate customer organizations to ensure successful project delivery and acceptance
Excellent communications, interpersonal, and motivational skills
Bachelor’s degree in a computer science or related field required
Master’s degree in business or related field preferred
Ability to travel up to 50% of time
