• When you think about customer experience, you don’t bucket those experiences into “digital” vs. “in-store” – you know that today’s customers interact with brands anytime, anywhere. You understand the demands of a tech-savvy customer. You know that they expect brands to anticipate their needs, learn their preferences and deliver a delightful experience every time. Most importantly, you know that a successful product strategy centers on the customer needs.
• You understand the end-to-end user experience, technology systems and integration points of today’s best blended retail consumer experiences.
• You are in your element when you can collaborate with a diverse team from executives to technical professionals to deliver fast, measurable business results.
• Collaborate with a host of cross-organizational partners to develop appropriate technical and operational approaches to digital-physical services, products, and capabilities.
• Oversee development of new services within our wallets and lead cross functional teams toward implementation
o Evaluate payments technology partners
o Create and own RFP process as needed
o Serve as subject matter expert in working with technology teams to define the appropriate payments architecture to support the business.
o Lead cross functional planning and execution of multiple projects
o Serve as payments subject matter expert on technology and architecture working teams as service is deployed in each market
Position Summary
Walmart’s Global Treasury leads enterprise wide payments strategy, partnerships, and execution. We work with each region Walmart operates in encompassing 56 brands in over 28 countries. Roles on the Global Treasury team provide the opportunity to innovate at scale across the complex digital and payments landscape around the world.
We’re looking for team members who operate at a start-up pace with a leadership style that encourages others to quickly follow within a large global organization.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of supervisory experience OR 2 years experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
Bachelor s degree in Finance or related field and 4 years experience in Finance or related field OR 8 years experience in finance or related field.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
• Masters Degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 8 years of experience in working in digital innovation, payments and/or consumer financial services sector (for example, retail banking, debit cards, money transfer services), or related field.
• 7 years experience using a data-driven, analytical approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• 5 years experience influencing, selling, and executing innovative strategies.
• 5 years experience working with international markets to drive strategy and execution.
• 1 year experience in Retail operations.
• Ability to speak Spanish, Mandarin, or Japanese.
