Job Description:
Responsible for heading up Center of Excellence (COE) which includes: Learning Technology, Content & Development and Training Delivery with heavy focus on Consumer strategy and learning and development support. Oversees a team of 25+ people.
Management and strategic direction of the iconic product sales and service training that supports all Mobile, Home Appliances, Home Entertainment.


This role leads and strategizes closely with other cross-functional leaders including but not limited to Marketing, HR, Sales Executives, Operations leaders etc. for the deployment of training and development solutions.
Lead the strategic deployment and growth of a Learning Management System (LMS) as well as the growth of mobile and other strategic technology initiatives.
This role also serves as the Samsung Electronics America (SEA) lead with Carrier account partners internally to ensure product training initiatives are aligned.
Manages within a nominated sub-function or related sub-functions; typically a highly experienced manager.
Typically accountable for budget and policy recommendations and medium- to longer-term planning.
Travel up to 30% both domestic and international.


Common Essentials/Duties and Responsibilities:

Implementation of learning technology, effectiveness of learning solutions, and Level 1-4 Training and Performance (Kirkpatrick).
Lead the development of comprehensive strategic and tactical planning, design, development and implementation of e-learning modules and learning initiatives.
Manages the design and production of spec sheets, information guides, announcement cards, and SEA’s training website.
Achieve ROI goals through assessment and metrics to evaluate training effectiveness.
Engage with SEA retail and carrier customers on regular basis to inform them on SEA enhancements to training platform, program, results, etc. and collaborate on opportunities to enhance training of their sales reps.
Collaborate with our training vendors and internal departments as well as our carrier and retail partners to provide comprehensive training roadmaps and content.
Formulates creative concepts and executes effective designs for product training modules and presentations to reflect the brand and style guidelines and to support marketing and sales initiatives.
Communicates with the vendors to manage the literature order fulfillment and warehousing of SEA product literature on behalf of SEA sales and marketing.
Responsible for distribution of product literature, sales tools, and resources to SEA sales, marketing, and field marketing.
Reviews creative material and confers with marketing managers, product launch coordinators, product engineers, project managers, and other subject matter experts for new products and technologies.
Utilizes primary research with sales associates to guide Samsung product training strategy.
Works with Carrier customers to fulfill manufacturer requirements for device training.
Manages password-protected website offering product education and training for all carriers.
Responsible for quality control and adherence to brand guidelines in produced materials.
Responsible for ensuring consistency in product marketing communications.
Has responsibility for the operational performance of the department.
Interface with senior leadership across multiple divisions and departments.
Directs the resolution of complex operational and organizational problems.
Desired Skills and Experience
Background/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree with 15+ years of directly related experience is required.
Prior experience in leading people and multi-level organizations a must.
Prior strategic program management a must.
Mobile and consumer electronics experience is preferred.
Leadership Development background desired.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications as well as graphic arts programs.
