As a Director in Trust and Safety, you lead a team responsible for protecting Google and its users by fighting abuse and fraud for at least one Google product. You ensure trust and reputation not only for this product, but also for Google as a broader brand and company. You are a strategic leader who possesses the ability to work globally and cross-functionally with several internal stakeholders through effective relationship building, influence and communication. You demonstrate analytical thinking through data-driven decisions. You have the technical know-how, charisma and ability to work with your team to make a big impact.

The Trust and Safety team reduces risk and protects the experience of our users and business partners in more than 40 languages and across Google's expanding base of products. We work with a variety of teams from Engineering to Legal, Public Policy and Sales Engineering to set policies and combat fraud and abuse in a scalable way, often with an eye to finding industry-wide solutions. Trust and Safety team members are motivated to find innovative solutions, and use technical know-how, user insights and proactive communication to pursue the highest possible quality and safety standards for users across Google products.
Responsibilities
Manage core operations and business cadence; partner closely across many functions, both within the Trust and Safety organization and across Google.
Use cross-functional knowledge to understand issues, trends and perspectives that may influence our partners and our work.
Foster an innovative culture toward next-level operations and execute in an operations team.
Scale enforcement through automation and innovation, enable machine learning technologies to scale, build strong analyst teams, lead program management, partner with senior executive stakeholders, and advocate during challenging times.
Work with a global team to drive day-to-day operations including escalation management, defining metrics, partnering with internal and external stakeholders on projects, and driving strategic planning and development for the team at a critical time.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
15 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred qualifications:
Advanced degree in a related field (Analytical, Technical, Legal, Operations Management).
Experience in a large organization, collaborating with diverse cross-functional partner teams, paired with operational experience.
Experience working with senior stakeholders, and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Excellent global leadership, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Open, engaging and collaborative style with a user first attitude. Commitment to the mission of enhancing trust with users and protecting them from abuse.
