As our Director - Technical Product Management for the GE Transportation Field Services Digital Technology team, you will be responsible for creating strong working relationships & influence across executive leadership and other functional groups to execute the Digital business strategy for GE Transportation Global Services.
As a domain expert for the GE Transportation Field Services portfolio, you will engage business partners at management and executive levels to develop/refine portfolio strategy, influence business partners, and lead a team of product manager, project managers, and solution architects to solve some of our biggest business challenges.
As the Director - Technical Product Management, you will elevate how we engage with business partners on a global level. You will be accountable for driving successful delivery of products by developing new software and making recommendations on extending software solutions to meet the dynamic demands of our business. You will be accountable for enabling business growth and field productivity for our Services business by applying technology (software and devices) to solve business challenges facing our customers and internal clients.
In this role, you will:
Drives vision & strategy, roadmap and product lifecycle for business functions and its portfolio of products & solutions.
Be a domain/business expert for the portfolio to guide teams, establish/refine product management processes and build and mentor high performance team of Product Managers, Solution Architects, and Project Managers as domain experts in technical solutions and business process engineering
Work cross functionally across senior management teams to develop execution models for getting work done; establish new operating mechanisms, prioritization, resource allocation alignment with key stakeholders.
Establish and manage relationship across GE businesses and horizontal product teams, facilitate technical and solution best practice sharing.
Global travel required as necessary.
Will have strong financial acumen and accountability. Manage a budget, resource allocation, and financial processes for the team.
Cross functional leadership to define and execute the vision and strategy of Digital Thread.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
A minimum of 12 years of technical experience along with at least 2 years team leadership experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience working in Digital Technology with focus on Services business processes
