Finance Director Customer Services Teradata San Diego

The Finance Director - Customer Services will act as CFO for the Global Customer Services Organization of Teradata. This includes all financial forecasting, planning, and analysis activities for Customer Services as well as some accounting activities as required. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Corporate Financial Planning and Operations and dotted line to the Executive Vice President, Global Support Services.
Responsibilities:

Establish standard forecasting process for regions to drive a consistent, global process that includes revenue, costs, and supporting metrics such as annual recurring revenue, and renewal rates.
Establish standard financial and metric reporting for regions to allow for sales organizations to understand revenue and profit drivers of their customer services business.
Coordinate monthly reviews with corporate cost center managers to discuss Financial/Operational results and forecasts.
Design, collect, and analyze monthly cost analysis for the global business.
Identify opportunities for savings through efficiency initiatives.
Analyze Parts activities to support global parts forecast
Provide tools for regions so they can analyze changes in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) by change type: New Customers; Add-ons;Tech Refreshes; Cancels;Price Erosion, F/X, etc.
Prepare monthly Leadership Team review presentation that includes pertinent financial and operational metrics for Executive Vice President.
Coordinate quarterly Risk Review including: service level agreement accounting; warranty accounting; parts related risks; etc.
Ensure all global customer services costs are accounted for according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Oversee the accurate processing of quarterly 3rd Party Maintenance Royalty payments.
Coordinate annual plan process
Assist global customer services leaders with creating business cases for investments that drive efficiency and reduce costs. Track progress as required.
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related business discipline. Masters or MBA a plus.
10+ years’ experience working within a financial or financial planning leadership role
Experience executing significant process change and improvements within a financial process
Experience presenting relevant financial results to senior level management
Preferred:
Experience working within customer services
Experience working within a technology company (preferably with HW/SW/Cloud/Services offerings).
This position will be located in San Diego, CA in our Rancho Bernardo Office.
